Whether you’re organizing a multi-scene event, creating dynamic layouts, or streaming to platforms like YouTube, Show Mode ensures smooth transitions and full control over your production.
Introduction to Show Mode
Show Mode is the cornerstone of Horn’s live production capabilities, designed to handle complex multi-scene setups while keeping operations intuitive and organized. It supports multiple shows, reusable scenes, and powerful tools for managing media and transitions.

Multiple Shows
Horn allows users to define multiple shows, making it easy to prepare different setups for various events.
Each show is independent and contains its own unique configuration.
Only one show can be active at a time, ensuring clarity and simplicity during live events.
Media sources and scenes be shared between shows, allowing for quick and easy switching between different setups.
Scenes and Playlists
Scenes are the building blocks of a show. A show can include multiple scenes, which can be reused throughout the event to save time and maintain consistency.
Reusable Scenes: A single scene can appear multiple times within the same show.
Playlists: The show uses a playlist to arrange and trigger the actual sequence of scenes during the live event.

Flexible Media Sources
Scenes can integrate a variety of media sources, making them highly customizable:
User cameras and screen shares.
Pre-recorded media files (e.g., MP4 videos).
Still images (e.g., logos, graphics, presentations).
External RTMP sources for real-time streaming integration.
Different Layouts
Every scene supports a range of layouts, ensuring flexibility and creativity:
Grid Layout: Display multiple participants or media sources side by side.
Picture-in-Picture: Highlight a key source while keeping others visible.
Focus Mode: Emphasize a single source for a cleaner visual.

Video Overlays
Frames within scenes can also include video overlays, enabling you to add dynamic visuals, text, or branding elements to enrich your presentation. Go to Overlays for more information about this feature.

Audio and Video Control
Horn’s unique approach to handling audio and video sources provides unparalleled flexibility:
Manage audio and video tracks separately. For instance, include a user’s camera in a scene without activating their microphone.
Every track is treated individually, ensuring precise control over your production.

Running a Show
When the Show starts, a Host sees the Show Playlist in the right-sidebar.
From there, the Host can navigate through the playlist and trigger scenes individually or using the Next Scene button for a smooth, linear flow.
When a MIDI Integration is enabled for a room, Host is also able to assign MIDI shortcuts to navigate between next/previous scenes or trigger specific ones instantly. See MIDI Integration for more information about this feature.

Conclusion
Show Mode empowers hosts with the tools they need to deliver professional, engaging live productions. Its versatility and user-friendly interface make it suitable for any scenario, from corporate events to creative showcases.
